Update on Fellowship Recipients
Through our partnership with the Aurora Education Foundation, two girls, Teina Te Hemara and Ngaree Blow, were supported by the Foundation on their International Study Tour. And Dr Sarah McEwan received support through a Roberta Sykes Katrina Dawson Bursary to attend the Leading for Results executive course at INSEAD. All three young women found their experiences incredibly rewarding.
"Harvard is a strange mix of unreachable though still possible. My dream was always to go here and study, and sitting down with a Professor and talking about my ideas as though it was something I am actually going to do made it feel very real and left me inspired and motivated."
Teina Te Hemara, University of Western Australia
"The First Nations dinner was an amazing experience and truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet that many inspiring and high achieving indigenous peoples from around the world. I felt privileged to be sharing my stories with others that have experienced similar things and worked as hard as I had to get to this point."
Ngaree Blow, University of Melbourne
"This course has opened up my mind to greater leadership dreams that I could have ever imagined. This course has now provided me with the ability to apply confidence to chase those dreams. This is a fantastic business school – with an excellent reputation and I can now see why this is the case. I have left the week fully inspired, fully engaged and ready to make the required changes to make myself the leader of the future I know I can be!"
Dr Sarah McEwan (Leading for Results, INSEAD)
